CQC take action

In the last week, CQC have published two cases where they have successfully taken Care Home Providers to court.  One service was fined £16,000 for failing to provide safe care and treatment, after a resident fell down some stairs at the home (to read more follow this link) and another care home was forced to close after it had been rated as inadequate following inspections of the service and an appeal to the Care Standards Tribunal (to read more follow this link).

Care Homes must ensure that they provide services that meet the Fundamental Standards, as a minimum, and that they are safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led otherwise CQC will take action and use their enforcement powers.

Care Home Support and Training may be able to help you.  Do not delay in contacting us for a no-obligation consultation.  Services that fail to make the necessary improvements are at risk of prosecution.  This may result in fines for the Manager and/or Provider as well as closure of the Home.
